The poppies, sown along the lakeside trail in March of this year, have recently begun to bloom. The lakeside trail, approximately 2.8 km long, is a course that takes about an hour to walk. In addition, Seoul Grand Park transformed the area around the lakeside walking path, where exercise equipment was previously located, into a garden last April. The 17 existing outdoor exercise machines were frequently used by the elderly and families, but safety concerns arose due to the uneven ground caused by the roots of adjacent large cherry trees. In the newly created garden, approximately 2,300 wild flowers of 13 species, including Japanese knotweed and aster, and about 1,000 flowering shrubs of 6 species, including hydrangeas and pink velvet, were planted.
