For breakfast on the second day, we had a delicious seafood bowl set meal at Kikuyo Shokudo, a popular restaurant in the Hakodate Morning Market. Unfortunately, they didn't have the live squid I was looking forward to this time, but we still had a fresh and delicious seafood bowl. After that, we checked out of the hotel and had a little time before our flight, so we went sightseeing at Goryokaku. I was feeling a little hungry, so I had lunch at Shunka, a conveyor belt sushi restaurant right in front of Goryokaku Tower. The conveyor belt sushi in Hakodate was on a different level. Shunka's large cuts of ingredients were so fresh that I was surprised at how good the value was for the price. This time, our Hakodate gourmet trip was two days and one night, but we realized that two nights is necessary because Hokkaido has so many interesting gourmet foods.
