Sen̓áḵw development moves forward
A major Indigenous-run housing development project is one step closer to becoming a reality. Today, the City of Vancouver and the Squamish First Nation signed a service agreement for The Sen̓áḵw project, which promises 6,000 new rental units to the lands just south of the Burrard Street Bridge. Some nearby residents have raised concerns, but Indigenous leaders say the project is an important step in reconciliation.
