RTX 3090 (and 3080) Owners! CHANGE Your Stock Thermal Pads! (Guide, Tips, Results) w/ Dr. JimRPG

RTX 3090 Owners - have you had problems with your memory temperatures? Me too! After testing it out using various GPU settings (default/undervolting/underclocking), trying in various games to max out the memory temps in games like Skyrim, MS Flight Sim 2020, Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, and even putting on a cheap fan and heatsink, I noticed the temps were getting worse. And it was finally time to do the thermal pad mod, and I'm glad I did. The aftermarket pads are much better than the factory ones. Obviously this will depend on what the AIB Board Partner uses, I only have an MSI RTX 3090 Ventus 3X so I can't tell what temps will be on other cards, but if you are struggling with memory temps, its worth considering swapping out the thermal pads.
