This is the seventh movement of Chapter XXIII — where the wandering blade stands beneath the eave in the rain and understands that what weighs heaviest was never supposed to be his to carry. Not the lives. Not the silence after. Not the faces that come back without being called. A sword was made to cut. It was never made for this. He has carried it anyway. For longer than he can remember. Shakuhachi opens and gives way to flute — then shamisen and taiko arrive together, grounding what floats. Flute and koto move forward in sorrow, neither rushing nor fading. Guitar enters quietly beneath them, adding weight without demanding attention. And when taiko and flute bring it to a close — there is no resolution. Only the rain. Only the lantern.
