This is the fifth movement of Chapter XXIII — where the wandering blade stands before the torii and understands that what weighs heaviest is not what he has done, but what he has witnessed. The shrine has no answer. The mist beyond the gate has no answer. Only the sword carries the record of everything that should not have been seen. He has stood before many gates. He has never been able to walk away clean. Shakuhachi fades in slowly, koto arriving beneath it — together, unhurried, already carrying something heavy. Taiko enters like a memory striking without warning. Guitar and flute push forward through the mist. Guitar takes the center, carrying the weight of everything witnessed. Flute persists above it, refusing to fade. Shamisen brings it to a close — quiet, deliberate, final. ⚔️ The sword has seen too much. But it cannot close its eyes.
