The history of processed cheese (aka American cheese)
Processed cheese is found everywhere today because its already sliced, melts well, and many people find it convenient or cheap. But who invented it? Why is it also called American cheese? Is it even cheese? Why does every type of burger seem to come with it? These are the sorts of questions I’ll try to answer in this video on the history of processed (or American) cheese.
