According to Tradition, the only one who was truly entitled to "appear to the Virgin Mary" is the Angel of the Annunciation. Let us imagine that this angel, dazzled by the divine beauty of the Virgin,  became so utterly "ensnared" by it ,to desire, out of love - like Damiel, one of the two angels in “Wings of Desire” movie - to experience the fatal fall. After all, the noun “desire”  (from the Latin expression “de sideribus” ) is, in fact, "falling from the stars." The encounter with the eternal feminine would have overwhelmed him to such a degree as to long for the "Christic" path of incarnation, turning away from the sweet but somewhat aseptic "joys of Heaven." For the "poor angel" (the very angel whom, as Cocteau says, "we do not see and therefore we are continuously bumping into him"), the fateful encounter would have transformed into a "descent into Hell" into the world of passions: an Orphic katabasis that would have led him to experience "God's hell," which, according to Nietzsche, exists and has its own concreteness because, to quote him literally, "If God has a Hell, it is His Love for Humankind" The composition features a main theme: Salve Regina, one of the four Marian antiphons traditionally attributed to Hermannus Contractus. After the piano plays the first four notes of the theme, the Tristan Chord appears, entirely unexpected. What follows, like an uncontrolled birth of the Wagnerian theme, is a series of episodes centered on “fatal” themes (the main themes from Psycho, Vertigo, Marnie, The Psychopath by Freddie Francis) connected by their shared role as “soundtracks” to famous “descents into Hell” brougth about by “female causes”.
