King Lear, Act 2 Scene (i) - Episode 8

In Act 2, Scene 1 of William Shakespeare's "King Lear," Edmund continues his deceitful schemes. He convinces his half-brother, Edgar, that their father, Gloucester, is plotting against him, prompting Edgar to flee. Edmund then fabricates a story about Edgar attempting to kill Gloucester, leading Gloucester to condemn Edgar to death and name Edmund as his heir. When Cornwall and Regan arrive at Gloucester's castle, they are taken in by Edmund's lies and welcome him into their service.
