The Return of the LIRR Z Trains. 11/8/25

Due to signal work in Hicksville, the railroad was forced to run trains between Penn Station, New York and Ronkonkoma via the Montauk Branch, Central Branch, and Main Line. We capture several of them in addition to some of the regular trains at Massapequa, Copiague, and Lindenhurst on the Montauk Branch, South Farmingdale, East Farmingdale, North Lindenhurst, and Lindenhurst on the Central Branch, and Farmingdale and Wyandanch on the Main Line. On numerous occasions, I captured these trains three times on three different lines going in the same direction. It wasn’t difficult to get from place to place as the trains took a little bit of extra time to make the reverse moves.
