"37 Strangers": Luisa Montalvo 1st Place 2024 WCPS Speech Analysis

"I only had 10 people in my audience." "I only got 17 views on my video" "I've only got 42 followers on socials". What you've got to understand is your voice carries. When you speak to "only" ten people, that isn't ten people you influence. If those ten people have a partner, that's twenty people. Those ten people have two parents, that's forty. If those ten friends have three close friends, that's seventy. If those ten people work with five colleagues, that's a hundred and twenty. When you change one person's life, you change many people's lives. This was the message of the 2024 World Champion of Public Speaking Luisa Montalvo. In her winning speech, she shares the influence of 37 strangers on her life. And so the ripple effect of those strangers spreads through her to us. What will we take from her speech that we pass on to others? I've analysed Luisa's speech so that we can maximise the ripple effect. Watch this video to learn how to carry your voice.
