I Didn't Want to Make This Client's Sword

A client commissioned a sword inspired by The King in Yellow — a figure from an 1895 collection of cosmic horror stories by Robert W. Chambers. A Kopesh blade. A forged tentacle guard. A decaying star pommel with 24-karat gold gilding eating through forge scale. Yellow leather. And a symbol that, once you've seen it, you can't unsee. I didn't want to make this sword. The design didn't make sense to me on paper. I said yes anyway. This is what happened.
