Stellplatz Magdeburg Yachthafen WBF an der Elbe, auch für Wohnwagen

Silvia had her class reunion on September 7, 2024, marking 50 years since graduating from school. The reunion took place in a restaurant in Fermersleben, about 2 km from the "WBF Yacht Harbor" (Westerhüsen, Buckau, Fermersleben). So, on Saturday, we set off in our campervan for an overnight stay at this campsite. The journey there was a bit different, as the A2 near Braunschweig was closed for several kilometers due to roadworks. Our route therefore took us via the Salzgitter interchange. Upon arrival at the campsite, you're met by a barrier. The harbor master's phone number is displayed on the barrier; he opens the barrier upon request. You then find the available pitches and choose one. Afterward, you go to the harbor master's office, where you register and pay the €18 fee (as of September 2024). There, you also receive a key, which is needed for the sanitary facilities and the waste disposal station. Since we were only staying overnight, we didn't need the key. So I couldn't go into the sanitary facilities to show them. The pitches are located right by the connection between the small harbor and the Elbe River; it was very quiet there. The ground was firm, sandy soil, but it also hadn't rained there for a very long time. I imagine it wouldn't be so ideal to stay there in bad weather. Right next to the pitches is a restaurant that's open seasonally from April to October, and it was quite busy, which is a good sign. We can't comment on that ourselves. A visit to Magdeburg is also possible from there, either by bike (approx. 9 km) or by tram (approx. 1.5 km). The overnight price during the season is €18 including electricity (as of September 2024).
