The fork operates on a pivot which passes through one of the bracket's outer holes and then into the fork body. It is next threaded through the coils of the clutch fork spring before meeting the other side of the fork and bracket. It's easiest to install the fork and spring by laying the fork back (towards the side of the mower). This keeps tension off the spring. For this reason, install the clutch lever and spring before installing the clutch lever. With the fork and spring in place on the pivot, secure the pivot at either end using two retainer clips. These can be pushed into place by hand. The clutch lever is installed by inserting it through the two large holes in the clutch bracket. The lever bears the force of the clutch fork and spring. Be sure to install the lever so the L-shaped arm sits behind the clutch lever and works correctly to operate the clutch. The clutch lever is located at the front of most Scott Bonnar 45 and Rover machines. The Rover Model 45 Mk II mowers locates the clutch lever facing the operator. Secure the clutch lever with a washer and split pin. The clutch adjuster screw and nut are installed into the body of the clutch fork. Note the screw mates with the clutch lever and may affect the lever's paintwork. We'll adjust this screw precisely in a later video; for now, simply know the screw is held in position using a lock nut tightened against the face of the clutch fork. As with all fasteners on this build, we obtained the stainless washer and split pin from Cameron Petrie. 🌐 Cameron Petrie / Cutting Edge Turf Equipment   / ceteparts   https://www.ebay.com.au/usr/ope-parts 🎬 Watch all the rebuild videos here    • Scott Bonnar 45 Rebuild   🎬 Watch all the teardown videos here    • Scott Bonnar 45 Teardown   🎬 Check out the SB 45 walkthrough videos if you're new to cylinder mowers and Scott Bonnars    • Scott Bonnar 45 Walkthrough   ⚠️ Your safety is your responsibility.
