Why VMI Matters (The Case for VMI)

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but a headline rarely tells the whole story. Lately, VMI has been under the microscope, but as someone who has lived the VMI experience, I see a different reality. People argue VMI shouldn't exist because it doesn't produce results. After graduating, I served as an Infantry Officer, earned an MBA from a top-tier program, and went on to lead at two Fortune 20 companies as a Senior Manager and Director. These days, I'm a stay-at-home dad who makes YouTube videos whenever I have a chance. Otherwise, I'm cleaning, doing laundry, washing the dishes, changing diapers, etc. I'd say being a dad is one of the most important jobs in life! And the funny part is, I pale in comparison to many of my peers. If I’m what a 'low-quality' VMI grad looks like, then the system is doing something remarkably right. #VMI #virginiamilitaryinstitute
