Join Redhead Cylinder Head & Engine Technology as they troubleshoot a VW Bus T5 2.5l BPC engine that won't start. It's similar to the VW AXE, BNZ, and AXD variants, but a completely different beast to the VW Bus T4. A host of quirks and special features make this engine one that many workshops and mechanics repeatedly fail to repair. It's just that little bit different. If you know and understand the engine, you can have fun with it for a long time. But it's important to always do everything right. The engine has many things to consider. If you love your engine, for example, you can install our PDE bridges, for which we have the general agency in Germany and which are manufactured in Austria by a partner company. Pump nozzle elements, cracked or worn cylinder heads, or broken manifold studs that cause problems are other problem areas. Warped manifolds are the cause. A new manifold only provides a temporary solution. We recondition manifolds in our engine department. They are re-linearized on specially designed holders and are then stress-free and resistant to distortion. There is no point in repeating VW's mistakes. The errors must be eliminated or at least compensated for. Then the bus will become a loyal companion. We have plenty of tips and modifications for the T5 Series 1 and 2, as well as for the T6. You can also have us configure cylinder heads for you, if you wish, with overhauled injection elements, which we then pre-adjust. A procedure that is often forgotten and subsequently leads to smooth running problems. Our bus here was in a reputable and expert workshop for 13 months. There they fought their way through the bus. They wanted to help the customer, but the goal became increasingly distant with the measures taken. Murphy's law: once you've started, you have to cut the Gordian knot with all your might. With our measures, we created the basis so that the workshop and customer can now handle the remaining work themselves. The PDEs certainly need to be replaced, and the vacuum hoses and a few other things also need to be renewed. We also recommend installing a PDE bridge. The workshop received a quote for this and can now plan its further measures. Translating this situation to our German future, the following comparison might be thought-provoking. Most people are dissatisfied with the current political landscape. An election was held, but not everyone considered what would happen if very different party interests now attempted to form a government. But this is precisely the constellation we have. We don't need to preemptively criticize what hasn't yet begun. But I wonder if I had voted for the FDP, with their clear positions. These are controversial to the Green-Red coalition. If a mixed bag of flowers emerges now, neither the Greens nor the Yellow Party voters are taken into account. Isn't that a bit of a cheat? Because now, opposites are trying to reconcile. How is that supposed to work? The few elected representatives decide entirely for themselves who they play with and what compromises are made. Which the voters certainly didn't want by voting for them. Here he is again incapacitated, but it's being used as an excuse! The concept of democracy is being put to the test. Because now something could happen that FDP voters, or even red-green voters, probably didn't want. A very controversial situation. I'm curious to see how the party executives get out of this without losing face. The negotiations must actually pose almost intractable tasks. This compromise must mean that the parties are cooking hot but are being left cold. Overall, everything is somehow in flux, but little seems to be spreading positive news at the moment. Where there's money, more money will be made in the future, and quite a few Greens and FDP members are among the well-off, but that's surely a coincidence. But it's undoubtedly easier to think green with money behind them! Everyone talks about environmental protection. Right! Good. But too little is being done in the areas of medical rip-offs, healthcare, elderly care, real-world pension restructuring, European unification, and defense. The ladies and gentlemen who moan about quotas (whether women or men are in power) haven't really managed to get this and much more sorted out so far. I wish the negotiators success. However, I'm not hopeful. Our VW is running again because we know what we're doing. We fight for our knowledge every day, and the results count.
