You Color The World

“You Color The World” is the introductory song in my neurodivergent series. Listen to the full series here:    • You Color The World (Playlist for series o...   This song sets the tone for a series that aims to paint a picture of the beauty within neurodivergence and the many ways different minds experience and interact with the world. My hope is that it encourages deeper understanding from neurotypical listeners, and highlights what becomes possible when these differences are recognized and supported in the right environments. Imagine what could happen if those differences were truly understood — and the unique strengths within them were properly harnessed. I created this series in honor of the many people I know and love — those still here, those no longer with us, and the countless diagnosed and undiagnosed individuals who recognize these traits in themselves or others. My message is simple: the world would be a much duller place without people like you. All lyrics, vocal arrangements, and song structures are my original work. I used AI-generated vocals and prompts for AI-assisted music production. Rights owned by me as a Pro-Suno subscriber. © 2026 Elaine Wulff. All rights reserved. Lyrics: Verse 1 The morning comes the same each day Same rules, same paths, same sound Everyone knows how to fit in And keep their head down But not everyone thinks the same Or sees the world that way Some minds don’t follow straight lines They go their own way Pre-Chorus And that’s not something broken It’s just different in the brain Some people see new answers Where others see the same Chorus You color the world in bright ways You color the world in new In every idea that doesn’t fit But somehow still feels true Every time you think outside What you’re “supposed” to do You color the world, you color the world It’s you Verse 2 Some people notice tiny things Others see the big picture Some can’t sit still in quiet rooms But their minds go quicker Some get told “you’re too much” Or “you don’t fit the plan” But a lot of the world’s best ideas Come from people like that Like Vincent van Gogh, ahead of his time He painted the world in light They didn’t understand his colors then They said it wasn’t right But now his paintings are everywhere And people stop and see Because what looked “different” back then Helped shape reality He saw the world in his own way Not wrong, just not the same And what they once called unusual Now carries his name Pre-Chorus If everyone thought the same way Nothing new would ever start The world would stay the same forever No change inside the heart Chorus You color the world in bright ways You color the world in sound In every thought that breaks the rules And turns the normal around Every time you do it different Even if they don’t get you You color the world, you color the world It’s you Bridge If nobody ever stood out Or saw things differently We wouldn’t have half the music Or the ideas we see The world needs every kind of mind Not just one way to be Different minds don’t mess things up They help us learn and see Final Chorus You color the world in bright ways You color the world in light In every strange and creative thought That helps the world feel right You don’t have to change who you are To be part of the view You color the world, you color the world By just being you So if you ever feel like you don’t fit… remember this is true: The world would be a lot less bright without people like you. You color the world.
