Woke Up to a Tornado Warning. Campsite Was Full. Walmart Again. | Van Life EP 4

Started the morning in a Walmart parking lot in Georgetown Kentucky with a lightning storm overhead and tornado warnings active in the area. Not the most relaxing wake up call but that is van life sometimes. Pushed north through Ohio heading into Michigan. Along the way, a conversation about something the van life community is feeling more and more. Walmart has been the reliable fallback for overnight parking for years and that is quietly changing. More locations are closing their lots to vehicle dwellers and the options are getting thinner. The campsite I was counting on in Michigan turned out to be fully booked. No spot available. Rolled with it and ended up back in a Walmart parking lot, this time in Wauseon Ohio. While waiting for evening, found a local park nearby to get out and walk around for a while. Plans change. You adapt. That is the whole thing.
