Camino 2025 (Le Puy-en-Velay - Cahors) - Hiking days 6 - 10

In May-June 2025, Petra and I started our joined Camino from Le-Puy-en-Velay (this is where Petra ended a couple of years ago after doing the Via Gebennensis) up to Cahors in 16 hiking days. This is one of the most famous Caminos De Santiago and is also known as the Via Podiensis. It runs on the same paths as the GR65. Starting on Ascension means you will have a lot of fellow Pilgrims on your path. And we did. What surprised us though was the amount of families that started their Camino with sometimes really young kids. Petra had booked all our overnights up front, and that was needed. We met Pilgrims that by noon were still looking for a spot to sleep the very same night. It also means that you meet a lot of nice fellow Pilgrims and that you seldom drink a beer (or something else) on your own. In this video we hike from Lasbros to Conques. We were overwhelmed hiking through the Aubrac and afterwards visiting one magnificent village after the other. At the end of this video, the village of Conques was one of the top cities along the GR65.
