Planning: Water Resources Development Public Corporation 1969, Color, 40 minutes 27 seconds The Gunma Waterway construction plan began in the 1950s with the aim of promoting regional agriculture and efficient use of water resources. At that time, the local community and the government worked together, engaging in numerous discussions and deliberations. Finally, in 1958, it was officially decided to begin construction as a formal project. The construction of the Gunma Waterway was a major project carried out from the 1960s to the 1970s. This film documents that process.
