This Telecaster Deserved Better | Trash Wood Re Neck
This Telecaster deserved better. It got trash wood instead. This is the Trash Wood Tele re-neck — part of the No Big Plans series, where I take builds that started with zero roadmap and let the wood (and the mistakes) decide what happens next. The original neck on this Telecaster was dead. So I did what any reasonable luthier wouldn't: I grabbed scrap wood from the shop floor, cut a neck blank, and grafted it onto a guitar that deserved way better. In this build: → Full neck carve from scrap — no template, no plan → Fretwork from raw stock to playable → The moment I realized what I'd done → Whether trash wood can actually hold tune If you've ever looked at a pile of offcuts and thought "that's a guitar neck," this one's for you.
