WARSHIPS & SUBMARINES SET SAIL! RIMPAC 2026 Officially Begins in Hawaii

RIMPAC 2026 is officially underway as a multinational naval task force departs Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, to begin the sea phase of the world's largest international maritime exercise. In this video, watch an impressive fleet of warships and submarines from around the world set sail, including HMNZS Aotearoa (A11), USS Essex (LHD 2), USS Charlotte (SSN 766), USS Columbia (SSN 771), HMCS Corner Brook (SSK 878), ROKS Dosan Ahn Changho (SS-038), BAP Chipana (SS 34), and BAP Pisco (AMP156). RIMPAC 2026 takes place from June 24 through July 31 in and around the Hawaiian Islands. The exercise brings together 30 nations, more than 30 surface ships, five submarines, over 206 military aircraft, 15 national land forces, and approximately 30,000 personnel. Since its inception in 1971, RIMPAC has strengthened international cooperation, enhanced interoperability among allied and partner navies, and reinforced maritime security across the Indo-Pacific region.
