Johnston (1978) Written and narrated by Bil Hawkins Sarah Silva and her aide Frances Turner are working with a young deaf/blind student named Sara. She is learning the first basic journeys of out and away and back that will form the basis for her later mobility routes. Sara's cane instruction started concurrently with the classroom instruction.
