The Massive Hunting Hill Mansion & The House Ruins from the 1700s at Ridley Creek State Park BP143

Friday, March 20, the first day of Spring, we took a road trip to Ridley Creek State Park in Delaware County, PA. First, we explored the historic Hunting Hill Mansion, built by the Jeffords family in 1915. The mansion was built around a 1789 Pennsylvania stone farmhouse that forms the core of the building and serves as a reception center. We actually met a couple who was going to have their wedding and reception there this coming October. From there, we drove around 3 miles to a different part of the park. As you’ll see, right across the street from where we parked we saw appeared to be old house ruins from the 1700s. From there, we went up a trail close by and found the Roundtop Farm ruins, a house that was built in 1711. We also saw the ruins of the barn that was nearby. Enjoy! ✌️
