Kerrville Flooded Again. It Wasn't Supposed to Happen Twice
Kerrville, Texas flooded again overnight, the second catastrophic flash flood to hit this stretch of the Hill Country in two years. I was on the ground before dawn, and residents here told me this one was different. I traveled through the Kerrville area, Comfort and communities along Interstate 10 to document the damage and meet the people who survived it. Around 2 a.m., Jakobe Rudolph moved his seven-month-pregnant wife upstairs, then began warning neighbors as floodwater climbed toward the balcony. This is the story of the latest Texas Hill Country flood, the destruction left behind, and the difficult question facing Kerrville one year after another deadly disaster: did people learn from the last flood, or were they simply luckier this time? As Promised, here is a fundraiser for Jakobe Rudolph and his girlfriend and unborn twins: https://gofund.me/34c60dafb I spoke with Alacena Lopez, she says her family is going to help her and won't be doing a fundraiser...she says she will be passing any she personally knows to me though and I will add when I receive them. #Kerrville #TexasFlood #FlashFlood #TexasHillCountry #GuadalupeRiver #Flooding #severeweather 00:00 Intro 00:59 Pre-dawn water rescues 2:14 This flood was different 3:51 Neighbors saving neighbors from flooding 6:56 Overview of damage and flooding in Hill Country
