The European Court of Human Rights is the principal organ of the European Human Rights Protection System. I will be speaking with Marta Cabrera about the workings of the court and we will compare them with the work of the Inter-American Human Rights System. Marta Cabrera Martín is a lawyer specializing in Public International Law, International Human Rights Law, and International Criminal Law. She worked for years as an associate lawyer at the Spanish law firm Garrigues. She later served as a legal advisor at the European Court of Human Rights. Currently, she is a senior lawyer at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, where she has also served as Advisor to the President and Secretary. She has also been a consultant to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
