3 Ways to Hang and Display Slow Stitched Textile Art I Finishing a Slow Stitched Artwork

A frequent question I get: What's on the back of your work and how do your small art quilts hang on the wall? Answer: I'll show a few different ways to finish off the back of a small stitched art quilt and how I add a hanging mechanism. Sometimes a wood dowel and twine is the way to go and other times the finished artwork can be stitched onto heavy card for framing. Here I show how to enclose wire in the back as a hanger. Starting at 2:48 I show step by step how I added wire to the a small stitched textile artwork so it can hang on a wall. Working in slow stitch, my goal is to connect with the numinous aliveness of the world around us. I aim to invite a feeling of calm and a sense of peace.
