Humans and elephants were once siblings. One day, when the parents went out to work in the fields, they left their two children at home. The playful elephant opened a bamboo tube that it was forbidden to touch. A white fly flew out and entered the elephant’s nose. The elephant sneezed loudly, its trunk appeared, and its body grew larger. The parents had to let the elephant live beneath the house. But the elephant was still mischievous. One day it ran off to play and got stuck in the mud. Its human siblings had to find rope to pull the elephant out. From that day on, they promised to look after one another.
