Disturbing Details Revealed at Sentencing in 5-Year-Old’s Murder

On Friday, during the sentencing of Erik Mendoza, the state detailed what the defendant did before disposing of the body of 5-year-old Prince McCree. Mendoza killed the young boy in October 2023. He pleaded guilty to five of six charges against him, including first-degree intentional homicide and second-degree recklessly endangering safety. In July 2024, David Pietura, his co-defendant, was sentenced to life in prison for his role in the death of McCree.
