Cabbage Noodle from Andi's kitchen - Káposztás kocka

Welcome to my channel! In this video I am making a delicious Hungarian pasta dish called Cabbage noodle. I learned how to make it from my sweet Grandmother. She was an excellent cook. This recipe is really simple, for seasoning I use black pepper and salt. Today I make homemade pasta, but any type of flat shaped pasta will work great. Tips: I like my cabbage chopped in this recipe instead of shredding. Because of the simple ingredients, and spice used in the recipe, I really recommend to caramelize, saute the cabbage until it turn a beautiful golden color. I like to saute the cabbage with the pasta a little at the end before finish. For 3-4 person Ingredients: For the pasta 2 cups of all-purpose flour leveled (11.2 oz 31.8 dkg) 3 large room temperature egg 1 Tbsp olive oil extra-virgin olive oil 1/2-1 tsp water (depending on the flour) 1/2 tsp salt Cover the dough with plastic wrap and let it rest before rolling or running through the pasta roller. I got 50 dkg (1 lb 1 oz)pasta, used only 30 dkg and saved 20 dkg for the next time. For store bought pasta 30 dkg would be enough. Cooking dry pasta take more time, keep your eyes on the fresh one, it cooks quickly.
