WV Tourist Train Trio

3 of West Virginia's numerous tourist train attractions. First up, Cass Scenic Railroad Shay #5 moving a caboose for what is likely going to be added to the next train up the mountain. For an added charge, a family or group can go by caboose instead of the usual passenger/open air cars. There are numerous train ride options a few times a day out of Cass. Second is the somewhat new Greenbrier Express backing into the station at Durbin, West Virginia. That's Cass Scenic 'Railroad's Heisler #6 on today's train. Looks a lot like a Shay, but it's a little bit different drive system. The Greenbrier Express originates at Cass but runs along the Greenbrier River instead of going up Back Allegheny Mountain. And last, the New Tygart Flyer that has Western Maryland F7A #243 and WM GP8 #24 for power, pulling into the old Elkins, West Virginia station to begin loading. The Tygart Flyer runs to the High Falls of Cheat, a waterfall on Shavers Fork.
