Lang Li | MPRINT Knowledge Portal & Regulatory Evidence Generation | MPRINT 2026 | Day 5
Maternal and Pediatric Precision in Therapeutics Knowledge Portal (MPRINT-KP) and Regulatory Evidence Generation Presented by Lang Li, PhD Professor and Chair Department of Biomedical Informatics College of Medicine The Ohio State University Recorded 4/17/2026 at the 2026 MPRINT Annual Meeting. In this presentation, Dr. Lang Li discusses the Maternal and Pediatric Precision in Therapeutics Knowledge Portal (MPRINT-KP) and its role in supporting regulatory evidence generation for maternal and pediatric therapeutics. The MPRINT Knowledge Portal was developed to address the challenges associated with fragmented scientific information and limited evidence available for populations that are frequently underrepresented in clinical research. Dr. Li reviews the vision and architecture of the MPRINT-KP, which integrates scientific literature, pharmacologic knowledge, clinical data resources, regulatory information, and computational tools into a unified platform. The portal is designed to support investigators, clinicians, regulators, and industry partners by providing access to structured knowledge relevant to maternal and pediatric drug development. The presentation highlights how artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and biomedical knowledge graphs are being leveraged to transform large volumes of unstructured scientific information into searchable and actionable evidence. Dr. Li discusses methods for extracting relationships among drugs, genes, diseases, outcomes, and patient populations while facilitating discovery of evidence gaps and research opportunities. A major focus of the session is the role of knowledge integration in regulatory evidence generation. Dr. Li demonstrates how the MPRINT Knowledge Portal can support regulatory science initiatives, evidence synthesis, pharmacovigilance, clinical trial planning, and precision medicine research. The platform provides a framework for accelerating evidence development and improving decision-making across maternal and pediatric therapeutics. About MPRINT: The Indiana CTSI Pharmacometric Modeling and Simulation Program and Maternal Pediatric Precision in Therapeutics Hub (MPRINT Hub) supports collaboration, education, and research in pharmacometrics, model-informed drug development, translational science, and clinical pharmacology.
