Processing Sadness and Grief with Yin Yoga Therapy: Open Your Heart and Release Emotions
Welcome to this Yin Yoga Therapy class specifically designed to address sadness and grief by targeting the lung meridian, which is often affected by emotional pain. In this class, we will focus on opening my chest, shoulders, and inner arms while finding deep grounding to create a safe space to allow emotions to flow as they need to. Grief and sadness can often result in tightness in the chest and shallower breathing, making it challenging to process and release these emotions. Through gentle and supported poses, we will work on expanding our capacity to hold emotions with grace and find our emotional and physical edge. We will learn how to lean into emotions, allowing them to be felt and processed without letting them overwhelm us or leave us stuck in depression. We will also explore how to balance grief through seeking joy. Living with a present mindset and intentionally being aware of the gifts that each moment holds can help us find balance and healing.
