Aadab, An ode to my childhood and my Qasba in Awadh, Mustafabad, this song has been an integral part of our family. Cherished and shared among cousins as a valuable treasure, each of us in the family has a unique connection to it, with specific memories tied to the song When I was a child, there used to be a Meeriyasan (courtesan) named Asimun Bua, who sang this song on various occasions in our courtyard. I would listen to her sing it frequently, and the essence of this song drew me closer to it. I have borrowed this composition from her and reimagined it based on my memories and understanding of the song. This piece not only blends the spirituality and composite culture of Awadh but also allows you to celebrate it.
