Fouling the Fringe

The plaintiff says she brought a very special dress to the defendant’s cleaners because she supposedly specializes in exquisite garments. The defendant, however, ruined her beautiful dress. She’s suing for the value of the dress. The defendant says she’s very specific about not guaranteeing garments with fringe on them, like the one the plaintiff brought in. She says the plaintiff demanded she replace the garment, but she can’t do that because she has a strict policy of offering no guarantees on fringe.
