March 18, 1986 The people of Ajaccio celebrate the "Madonuccia," patron saint and guardian of Ajaccio. After the procession and prayers, a new mass was celebrated in the cathedral in the presence of political figures. Late in the afternoon, a procession brought together thousands of worshippers.
