Instead of combining everything into one large box like typical apartment complexes, the choice was deliberately made to separate the buildings. What is created between them is not just a passageway, but a "space for staying." The plaza, leveled in a stepped fashion on the slope, is neither exclusively for residents nor a completely closed space. It's designed as a place that gently connects with the surrounding environment and the flow of people. What I found most interesting was the idea of ​​residents viewing the vast forest behind the building as a "resource." A rental property that gives the feeling of taking on the entire environment, not just the room, is something new. I was impressed by Mr. Wakabayashi's thorough commitment to "ensuring that the environment doesn't change with the construction of the building," given his background as a landowner.
