NOTE: WHEN INSTALLING MISHIMOTO FILTER ADAPTER USE MEDIUM STRENGTH BLUE LOC-TITE THREAD LOCKER ON THE FILTER POST THREADS! I HAVE HAD CUSTOMERS REPORT THAT THE MISHIMOTO FILTER POST ADAPTER MAY COME OFF WITH THE FILTER WHEN CHANGING OIL. IF THIS HAPPENS CLEAN THE OIL FROM THE ORIGINAL FILTER POST THREADS AND THE MISHIMOTO FILTER POST ADAPTER THREADS WITH BRAKE KLEEN SPRAY SOLVENT, OR STARTING FLUID (ETHER) MAKING SURE THERE ARE NO SPARKS OR FLAMES, OR IGNITION SOURCES, AND THAT THE ENGINE IS NOT HOT. THEN APPLY THE THREAD LOCKER TO THE THREADS, AND USING A 1 1/16" SOCKET, RETORQUE MISHIMOTO FILTER POST ADAPTER TO 25 TO 30 FOOT POUNDS. 2020 -2024 L5P Duramax VSE CCV upgrade installation, along with Amsoil BMK21 bypass filter installation upgrade.
