Kogarah Green Waste SL84 - Ex Ispwich Euro 3

Video Description: On a wednesday morning i went out to george’s river to film some of the oldies before they retire. soon after i found out that SL84 was out so it was my mission to get that on video. After looking around for a while and kept getting swooped by magpies i went up to another driver and asked where it was and he told us it was in the nice suburb of Beverly Park and kogarah bay. It took me a while to find it and i was starting to get frustrated because i was constantly getting swooped by magpies but then ‪@TheAustralianGarbologist‬ came along and gave me a lift to the area. SL84 is sydney’s oldest running superior pak and has been to quite a few places servicing thousands of streets around sydney. This truck has been driven by quite a few enthusiasts to and thankfully there is videos of them driving it. It is a mad truck and surely has at least a couple years of life left in it. One thing that has surprised me is that the grabs have not changed in the 10+ years it’s been here in sydney. You may notice they are bigger than usual and that’s because it used to do recycling in ipswich with the 360L bins and back then if the grabs were too small the bin would just fall straight into the back so they had to get bigger ones for the recyclers. As we were looking around for the truck we see it drive past and go to the tip, the tip was only 15 mins away so in the mean time we just followed one of the garbage trucks and when time came close to him coming back we waited at a street where we thought he would start back, we waited for quite a while and then i started to think what if he was only doing one load and started to lose hope. I think it was one more drive around the block just to check and then there it was, the best euro 3 cab in sydney facing towards us and i managed to get this decent size video to showcase on the channel on my birthday with my favourite truck in existence. massive thanks to the driver for letting us film.
