Michel-Pierre Faucon shares his vision on biodiversity management in agricultural areas. In addition to his scientific work, he is deeply involved in his rural community as a naturalist and community builder. He has observed a massive loss of biodiversity in just a few decades and readily outlines the priority solutions needed to reverse this decline. Holding a doctorate from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and a French Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR), Michel-Pierre Faucon is committed to ecosystem preservation and the development of agroecology. Drawing on his agricultural expertise and passion for plant diversity and soils, he specializes in scientific ecology and agroecology. Author or co-author of over 45 articles published in international journals and book chapters, he participates in conferences in several countries. Currently the scientific director at UniLaSalle Beauvais, he is driven by a desire to share his vision on biodiversity management in agricultural areas. He is also deeply involved in his rural community as a naturalist and as an active participant in fostering community cohesion. He has observed a massive loss of biodiversity in just a few decades and is eager to outline the priority solutions needed to reverse this loss.
