Barely 24 hours after a similar incident in Port Harcourt, another three-storey commercial building has collapsed in Lagos's Alakija area, raising fresh concerns about construction safety standards in Nigeria. Many people are feared dead while several others remain trapped beneath the rubble following the collapse, which reportedly occurred around 11:40 a.m. on Thursday near the Satellite Town axis.
