We rode the most exclusive train in Germany
We rode what is probably the most amazing vintage train in Volkach, near Würzburg. A carriage so small that it only seats four people. Small, red, and incredibly cute, that's how it awaited us. It's basically the little brother of the Volkacher Mainschleifenbahn. The Volkacher Mainschleifenbahn is a historic branch line in Lower Franconia that has been operated by Mainschleifenbahn e.V. since 2003 – entirely on a voluntary basis. It connects Seligenstadt near Würzburg with Volkach-Astheim and is mainly used as a museum railway with historic rail buses. The route is a popular destination for day trips, as it passes through the wine region on the Main loop, combining the romance of rail travel with Franconian viticulture. But there was one thing it didn't see coming: Tom and Enya's pointless adventures. Armed with a suitcase full of good cheer and the warm support of the Romantikhotel zur Schwane, they set off on their journey GET TO KNOW VOLKACHER MAINSCHLEIFENBAHN https://www.mainschleifenbahn.de/ GO TO THE TAG DER SCHIENE https://tag-der-schiene.de/event/bahn...
