With walls reaching 40 meters in height and crystal-clear greenish waters, the Iconha Canyons form a sanctuary with many natural pools that needs to be preserved. If you are looking for easily accessible trails to waterfalls in Guapimirim, this video will surprise you! 🌿 What you'll find at the Iconha Canyons: 🏞️ Rock walls forming true natural canyons 💧 Crystal-clear pools with greenish hues 🌊 Several beautiful pools along the trail to cool off 🌱 Direct contact with nature and a super preserved landscape 📸 One of the most photogenic places in Rio de Janeiro 🥾 What the trail is like: The trail to the Iconha Canyons is considered easy to moderate, with sections of walking through the river and among rocks. The route is 1.8km long and it will take you on average between 40 minutes - 1 hour to reach the end depending on your physical condition. The trail is well marked and signposted until its end, but watching our video you won't get lost. 📍How to get there: 🚗 By car: Put "Cânions do Iconha" into your GPS and you'll arrive right at the trailhead. The new trail starts on Estrada Caneca Fina. The landmark is just after the bridge that crosses the Iconha River and before reaching the Vale do Rio (number 318) or Vale das Acácias (number 591) condominiums.
