On Sunday, October 19th, the "SUBARU LAYBACK presents 2025 Utsunomiya Japan Cup Cycle Road Race" was held on the Utsunomiya Forest Park circuit course in Tochigi Prefecture (10.3km x 14 laps = 144.2km). The World Tour teams made aggressive advances from the early stages of the race, forcing Astemo Utsunomiya Blitzen to hang on in the back pack. Atsushi Oka joined the chasing group midway through the race and briefly rejoined the lead pack, but unfortunately dropped back as the pace increased on the uphill section of Kogashi Forest Road. The winner was Lenny Martinez (Bahrain Victorious), who launched a solo attack on the final lap at Kogashiyama. He held on to the lead and won the race.
