New Woodland Owners
We hear two very different stories behind people`s personal decisions to become woodland owners: for Peter, being in the fortunate position to be able to buy a wood has enabled him to achieve a lifelong ambition. He is embracing this opportunity to follow his passion for plants and traditional crafts. Keen to encourage youth groups to share in the positive experience of being outdoors, he has worked with the natural landscape to create a sustainable, dynamic environment to enjoy. For Shirley, her newly acquired woodland is "a sanctuary", a contemplative place to be - a support in her time of bereavement - and a safe, quiet space in nature for her extended family.
