Life in the Coppice
A short film about Life in the Coppice with woodland manager, Richard Thomason from Wild about Westhope (Craven Arms, Shropshire), looking at the ancient craft of coppicing. As well as encouraging healthy, biodiverse woodlands, coppicing provides woodland products including stakes and binders for hedgelaying as well as huge community benefits when people get involved as volunteers. Part of the CPRE Shropshire Hedgerow Heroes project. To help us plant a hedge next year, please consider a donation, however small, to CPRE Shropshire via https://www.justgiving.com/cpreshrops... We plan to run further coppice management workshops with Richard Thomason in future. Sign up to the Hedge Bulletin to be the first to hear about the Hedgerow Heroes project and all events and training opportunities: https://www.cpreshropshire.org.uk/hed...
