Larksville Pa Lance Colliery.MP4
A short video featuring original 1939 newsreel footage of the Lance Colliery, located in Larksville, Pennsylvania and still images of the colliery site, then and now. The anthracite coal breaker shown in the video was the 3rd Lance Breaker constructed on or near this site. The Lance Breaker was operated by the Glen Alden Coal Co. and processed coal from several other mines. The breaker is long gone. But, several out buildings remain in use by various businesses today.
