#disaster #mine #coal The Knox Mine Collapse and disaster was a mining accident on January 22, 1959, at the River Slope Mine in Jenkins Township, Pennsylvania. Disaster would result in an accidental breach into the Susquehanna River above it flooding the mines, resulting in the death of multiple workers.
