BEFORE THE PROJECT, LIFE WAS BORING. NOW LIFE IS GREAT. Sometimes a simple phrase says it all. In this second episode about Project 17+, we hear stories that show the true meaning of inclusion. Not just being present. But belonging. Having friends. Having activities. Having dreams. Having people who believe in you. While many neurodivergent young people and adults face isolation, lack of opportunities, and few options after age 17, Project 17+ builds a different path. A path where education happens at each person's own pace. Where art becomes language. Where music becomes connection. Where capoeira, sports, companionship, and affection help develop autonomy, self-esteem, and confidence. And all of this happens thanks to a network of volunteers, families, and professionals who understood something very important: ❤️ Inclusion is not just a public policy. ❤️ Inclusion is presence. ❤️ Inclusion is acceptance. ❤️ Inclusion is believing in someone's potential when the world has already given up on them. Throughout this conversation, we learned about stories of overcoming challenges, growth, true friendships, and discovered that, often, the greatest learning experiences don't just happen with the students. They also happen with those who choose to walk alongside them. The 17+ Project continues to grow.
