Today, we join the world in commemorating 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧 𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲, 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐟𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 and celebrate the resilience, achievements, and potential of people living with deafblindness. Meet Mwanaasha, one of the remarkable individuals supported by Sense International Tanzania. Through our livelihood programs, Mwanaasha received support to start and grow her small business, enabling her to earn an income, build confidence, and live more independently. At Sense International Tanzania, we believe that every child and adult with deafblindness deserves the opportunity to learn, communicate, participate, and thrive. Through early identification, inclusive education, rehabilitation services, family empowerment, teacher training, and community awareness, we work to ensure that no one is left behind. Mwanaasha's journey is just one of many stories that demonstrate what is possible when people with deafblindness receive the right support.
